It’s been a really great, musical summer and there’s still lots more to come. Here’s a little update on whats been going on in my life and what is coming up next. You can also check out my upcoming gigs here.
This year, I had the opportunity to play at Wychwood Festival 2016, which was amazing. I had a really fun time playing my original songs. I also had a really funny interview afterwards, which went out live on my university radio station. We ended up charades about some of my favourite music artists.
I was also lucky enough to be given the opportunity to work on the Neu Stage at 2000 Trees Festival 2016 doing sound engineering. I’ve done my fair share of sound engineering in the past but I hadn’t yet done any big stages like the one at 2000 Trees. I had the best time and I definitely want to do more things like that in the future.
Last weekend, I played an entirely new setlist at Vinestock Festival, which is a charity festival that supports Pod Volunteer in providing inspiring, supported & ethical volunteering opportunities abroad. It’s a really good cause and I had such a fun time gigging there. Everyone was so lovely and supportive, and I got a free cider and burger after playing, so that’s always another plus!
Next up, this next month is going to be exciting because I am heading back to the Isle of Wight to play V-Dub Festival and Bestival. I am so honoured to have been asked to open the entire V-Dub Festival on the Main Stage so if you can come along, it would be great to see lots of people there in support. I am also playing some other slots and stages at V-Dub so make sure you check them out. At Bestival, I am playing busking slots over the weekend with one of my wonderful Pretty Censored guitarists, Joe Pratt-Flynn. We are so excited to play and enjoy the festival so make sure to come down and say hi. We will be playing lots of originals and covers for you all to enjoy.
That’s it for now. I hope you are all having amazing summers full of fun and British weather!
See you soon,
